Conveniently located off of Cary Parkway in Cary, NC, near REX Healthcare and WakeMed Cary Hospital, Triangle Family Care is a full-service family medical practice treating patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. Dr. Stevens' core philosophy is grounded in the belief that everyone should have a primary care provider who is the central point of contact for all medical issues. This method of operation ensures that there is at least one medical professional who is involved in all aspects of patient healthcare. Often, medical conditions or symptoms are related or may have a common cause. With a primary care professional reviewing and administering all medical tests and evaluations, it is less likely that conditions will go undiagnosed or treated.
Triangle Family Care is pro-preventive medicine. This means that, as a patient, you are encouraged to remain active in routine screenings and examinations. Through routine preventive care, Dr. Stevens, Kellie, and Crystal are able to identify and proactively treat possible life-threatening medical conditions.
Initial Visit
Regardless of age (and only excepting acute medical emergencies), your initial visits to the office will include collection of family, medical, surgical, and personal history information. Potential areas of concern, based on patient data as well as family history information, are thoroughly discussed. Treatment plans are developed to stave off medical issues or to treat existing issues. Because the Triangle Family Care practice is a whole-body establishment, adjustments to diet and recommendations for specific or general exercises or therapies may be suggested over prescribing medicines.
Subsequent Visits
Subsequent visits to the office include follow ups for any identified issues, general physicals and a comparison of new data to previously collected data, and conversations around any new issues or side effects. The office generally has all records and results from any tests taken at this or other facilities and your healthcare practitioner will review those results with you. If needed, adjustments are made to your recommended course of treatment based on the current information.
Emergency Services
Established patients experiencing an acute disorder are encouraged to call the office. If your issue is one that we believe is suitable for an emergency office visit, we will squeeze you in. If your symptoms sound as though immediate medical treatment is required, we will recommend that you either contact 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room or urgent care center. Ensure that you give any and all other healthcare providers the contact information for Triangle Family Care and request that Dr. Stevens and/or his staff are contacted.
Other Services
Other services available through Triangle Family Care generally revolve around courses and training to help you live a longer, quality-filled life. Our diabetes education classes are suitable for those recently diagnosed, long-term sufferers, and those who love them. We also provide weight management services including information on proper proportions and foods and supplements that help lower cholesterol and blood pressure.
We have an onsite phlebotomist to draw blood, so you don't have to leave our facility and visit another practice for standard lab tests.
