Crystal Moran, FNP

Crystal, who was raised in Southeast North Carolina, always knew that the focal point of her life would be dedicated to helping others. Earning both her BSN and MSN at UNC Chapel Hill, she remained in North Carolina where she believed she could make a difference in the lives of children and adults.

Before joining Triangle Family Care, Crystal was a nurse at Alamance Regional Medical Center (Telemetry and ICU) and UNC Hospital (Pediatric ICU). She is currently a Clinical Preceptor at UNC Chapel HIll School of Nursing and an Adjunct Faculty Member at UNC Chapel Hill School of Nursing.

Her responsibilities at Triangle Family Care include seeing patients for acute and chronic conditions, prescribing appropriate treatments and medications, ordering radiology tests, and referring patients to specialists as necessary. She began her career with the practice in August 2004 and maintains that her success at Triangle Family Care is predicated on her ability to take the time to listen to patients and develop a plan of care tailored to their needs and abilities to follow through with the plan.

Crystal's credentials also include being a PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) instructor and holding an active certificate in Professional Rescuer CPR. She is an active member of the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA) and a council member of the National Council of Nurse Practitioners (NCNP). Crystal sings regularly in church choirs and directs children's choirs. In her quiet time, she can often be found snuggling with a good book and her two cats and one dog.

With such a full and aggressive schedule, one must wonder what keeps Crystal going. Crystal is motivated by her desire to make a difference. It is this motivation that keeps her going and, indeed, it is the success in this area that gives her the energy to continue to remain instrumental in the life and recovery of others. These traits make Crystal an excellent healthcare provider and a great person to work with - in any one of her multiple disciplines. Crystal was also recently married and adds 'beautiful bride' to her long list of accomplishments.
